FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents will have plenty of sunny skies and warm weather over the holiday weekend to search for Easter eggs, though there is the possibility of a couple pockets of rain in the region.

Friday will be sunny, with a high near 62 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The calm wind will become a north wind of around 5 mph in the afternoon. Friday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 38.

There could be a bit of rain on Saturday, when there is a 20 percent chance of showers after noon. Otherwise the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 62. Saturday night there is a 40 percent chance of showers before 2 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Easter Sunday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 77. As the holiday ends Sunday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, but it will otherwise be mostly cloudy with a low around 50.

The spring weather will continue into next week. Monday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 66. There could be some scattered sprinkles Monday night before 1 a.m., but otherwise it will be partly cloudy with a low around 38.
