Expect Sunny Skies As Temps Rise Into The 80s This Weekend In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Get your beach gear ready, because Fairfield County is expected to see several days of sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s or higher.

Thursday is predicted to be mostly sunny, with a high near 72, according to the National Weather Service. This is slightly below normal highs for this time of year, which are typically in the mid to upper 70s, while lows are usually in the upper 50s to lower 60s. But Friday is expected to mark the beginning of a warming trend that will last into next week.

There is a 30 percent chance of precipitation on Friday, with a slight chance of showers followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Other than that, the day  is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 76. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 59.

Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 80. There is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 61.

The temperatures will continue to rise on Sunday, when the high will be near 86 and the skies will be sunny. Sunday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 65.

Temperatures will remain in the 80s well into next week. Monday, which will be mostly sunny, will see a high near 89. Tuesday will also be sunny, with a high near 88. The high on Wednesday will dip a little to 82, but the skies will still be mostly sunny.
