FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Cloudy skies will bring showers for one more day and could produce thunderstorms during the evening commute in Fairfield County on Friday.

Showers will linger in the area for most of the day with a high temperature of around 58 degrees. Chance of rain is around 30 percent.

Rain and thunderstorms become more likely as the evening hours approach. Thunderstorms could be accompanied by gusty winds, said the National Weather Service in a Hazardous Weather Outlook statement. The chance for thunderstorms will last through 9 p.m. Friday, the weather service said.

Temperatures won't dip too much with an overnight low of 47 degrees.

Spring will return in earnest on Saturday with sunny skies and a high between 58 and 60.

Sunday and Monday will be sunny once again with highs in the mid-60s.
