FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Daytime temperatures in Fairfield County will remain above freezing for most of the week, but rain on Tuesday will dampen the forecast. The above-freezing temperatures will help melt the area's snow pack.

Monday will remain mostly sunny with high temperatures of about 46 degrees.

But clouds will increase in the morning hours of Tuesday before rain moves in during the afternoon. The chance of showers is 50 percent with a high temperature of 40.

Wednesday could prove to be the warmest day of the week, with sunny skies and a high of 52 degrees.

Sun will remain on Thursday, but temperatures will cool a bit, reaching only the mid-40s.

Friday will feature more sun with a high around 40.

Clouds and a chance of some snow will return on Saturday.
