Rainy Friday To Give Way To Sunny Weekend In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County will see cloudy skies and scattered showers throughout the day Friday, but the weather is expected to be sunny and warm this weekend.

Showers can be expected mostly during the afternoon today between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., when there is a 40 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service. The high will be around 50 degrees, which is 5 to 10 degrees below normal. Cold air will continue into Friday night, when the low will be around 34 and wind chill values will be between 25 and 30. Any left over showers will end before midnight.

High pressure will bring sunny skies on Saturday. Temperatures will be between 50 and 55 degrees, which is about 5 degrees below normal. It will be cold in the morning, when wind chill values will be between 25 and 35. Saturday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 34.

Temperatures will return to normal Sunday through Tuesday. Sunday will be sunny, with a high near 62. Sunday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 68, and Monday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 49. Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 71.
