FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Snow could hit areas of Fairfield County Tuesday night, though little accumulation is expected, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday afternoon will be mostly cloudy with a high near 44 and east wind around 6 mph. Rain is likely before 9 p.m., followed by a mix of rain and snow between 9 p.m. and midnight, the NWS reports.

Rain will likely hit after midnight. Tuesday night will see a low of around 37 degrees and northeast winds between 6 and 9 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Wednesday morning will see a chance of drizzle or light rain, followed by a mostly cloudy afternoon with a high near 45. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 31.

There is a slight chance of sprinkles Thursday after 1 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 42 and calm winds becoming west winds of 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 27.

Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 37. Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 21.
