Spring Is Back: Sunny Skies And Warm Temps Return To Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- After a couple days of cool temperatures and cloudy skies, Fairfield County residents can expect a return to more seasonably appropriate weather on Wednesday.

High pressure will build on Wednesday and Thursday, with drier weather and skies finally clearing, according to the National Weather Service. Today will start cloudy but will gradually become mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 51. There could be some patchy fog after 3 a.m.

That patchy fog could continue into early Thursday morning before 8 a.m., but otherwise the day will be sunny and temperatures will continue to rise to a high near 70. There is a 20 percent chance of showers on Thursday night, but otherwise the night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Friday will see a chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 9 a.m. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Otherwise the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 75. Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 55.

This weekend will be warm and sunny. Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 80, while Sunday will continue to be sunny with temperatures climbing to a high of 87.
