FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield is about to welcome Connecticut’s first F45, an Australia-born training regime designed to burn a full 750 calories in just 45 minutes.
First Selectman Mike Tetreau is scheduled to cut the ribbon on F45, a new fitness studio opening at the Fairfield Shopping Center Saturday at 8 a.m.
F45 will celebrate with its first official classes at 8 and 9:15 a.m., a live DJ and 50 swag bags for the first takers for their Saturday Hollywood workouts. Click here to sign up or use the F45 training app .
"It is exciting to have helped bring a new business to Fairfield and Connecticut," said Jon Angel, president of Southport-based Angel Commercial, L.L.C., the commercial real estate broker who helped F45 find their new location.
Founded in Australia in 2014, F45 training has since grown to more than 750 franchises in 26 countries and is now focused on expansion in the U.S.
The training offers a 45-minute, high-intensity interval workout that uses a combination of strength and cardio for maximum calorie burning.
Fairfield Shopping Center is located at the corner of Post and South Benson Road.
