Freezing Moo, an eight-month-old company with four locations in Kansas City, MO, will have a soft opening of its first Fairfield County store in the next two to three weeks, just in time for summer.

Owner Sam Kok, who has plans to franchise and grow the company, said what makes his ice cream unique is that it offers Thai fried ice cream rolls -- hand made ice cream desserts made with milk and poured over an iced grill. Customers can mix various fruit and other toppings --think Butterfingers, brownies, bananas, Lychee and a Chocolate Pocky Stick.

No preservatives or chemicals are used in the ice cream and Kok said Freezing Moo's offers an East Asian method of ice cream production that prides itself on its freshness.

Flavors run the gamut from Mucho Mangos, Mint To Be, S'More Please, Rock Chalk Cherry, Lotz A Nutz, Key Lime Pie and Strawbella, among others.

Freezing Moo is at 1700 Post Rd., (203) 955-1331. Follow their local Facebook page HERE for more specifics on their grand opening. Other information at www.freezingmoo.com.
