FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Once again, the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce heralds the start of the summer season by welcoming artists, clothiers, jewelers, artisans and others to the Old Town Hall Green June 11-12.
This annual “Fairfield Market on the Green” promises to be full of a variety of curated vendors, representing a wonderful mix and cross-section of beautiful items for every type of shopper. To add to the festivities, a dog parade will be conducted at noon Saturday so the chamber encourages and welcomes pet vendors as well.
The free event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 11 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 12.
Interested vendors can reserve their two-day spot for $300. With a long-term strategy in place, and in an effort to support tourism and local businesses, the chamber plans to grow this event in the future donning a unique flair of Fairfield, with an outdoor shopping experience.
The dog parade will be at noon Saturday for owners and pets to take a stroll down Old Post Road. Shoppers will have the opportunity to have an experience at the Fairfield Market on the Green. As always, attendees can expect Connecticut-based food trucks and restaurants because shopping can work up an appetite.
