A 28-year-old area man has died from injuries sustained in a rollover crash on I-91, according to police.
Korie Yu of New Haven was killed in the crash which took place during the early morning hours Wednesday on I-91 in Wallingford, Connecticut State Police said.
According to an investigation, Yu was heading southbound on the highway when he lost control of his 2005 Toyota Camry, went off the roadway and into the median and then hit a tree, state police added.
He was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he later died, according to the accident report.
As a result of the investigation, the southbound lanes of I-91 were closed for several hours in Wallingford, police noted.
The Wallingford Fire Department and emergency medical personnel assisted with the crash.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call state police at 203-393-4200, ext. 3025.
