30-Year Department Veteran Promoted To Trumbull Police Captain

After 30 years with the Trumbull Police Department, Lt. Keith Golding has been promoted to the rank of Captain.

Golding was promoted on Wednesday, Aug. 1, during a special ceremony.

The newly minted captain most recently served as the Detective Division Commander. He will now be assigned as the Patrol Division Commander, where he will be responsible for all uniformed service personnel.

During his tenure with the department, Golding has also worked as a supervisor in the Records Division, and as a shift commander in Patrol. He served for a period of time with the Statewide Narcotics Task Force, in an undercover role for the investigation and enforcement of drug crimes.

Golding holds an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice and has attended the FBI Leadership Development Programs. He and his family live in Shelton.
