FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police on Friday arrested a Bridgeport man they believe is one of two men who committed a January armed robbery at Cumberland Farms on Kings Highway, Fairfield police said.
Moeties Brown, 22,of Arctic Street, was charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, police said.
He was arrested on a warrant in court and was held on $100,000 bond, police said. He was arraigned Friday.
Just after midnight Jan. 18, two men wearing ski masks and brandishing guns entered the Cumberland Farms, police said. They demanded cash from the main counter cashier and from a cashier at the Dunkin Donuts inside, police said.
The cashiers complied, and the men left with at least $100 and a cellphone valued at $300, police said.
Police were able to track the phone to Bridgeport’s East End.
A witness who was outside Cumberland Farms during the robbery identified Brown from a series of photos, police said.
