With car after car being stolen or broken into across the region, the Easton Police Chief is warning residents to take care and lock their doors.

Chief Tim Shaw said that another vehicle was stolen over the weekend, bringing the number of cars stolen in Easton to three.

“Please remember to lock your doors,” Shaw said

In addition to the stolen vehicles, the chief said 43 cars were illegally entered and had valuables taken in 2018.

All vehicles were entered through unlocked doors.

"Lock all your car doors every time you exit the vehicle," he added.

Shaw also said during this holiday season to keep all packages out of view from a passerby when you leave the vehicle.
