The 25-year-old inmate who escaped from Cheshire Correctional Institution is in custody.

A manhunt is underway after a 25-year-old inmate escaped from a Connecticut prison on Luis Clarke, escaped from Cheshire Correctional Institution on Highland Avenue.
The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Luis Clarke escaped around 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, police said. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing his gray prison jumpsuit.
Clarke was serving 18 months for violation of probation, according to the Department of Corrections. His release date was set for December 2019.
