A 61-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly making numerous harassing phone and text messages to two victims.
James Malone, a Westport resident, was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 22, after police received a complaint from the two victims, Westport Police said.
The victims reported receiving vulgar, crude and harassing messages since March from Malone and had saved the texts. The investigating officer viewed text messages, police said.
On 12 separate occasions, one victim responded to Malone and asked him to stop texting them. On three other occasions during the text chain, the other victim asked Malone to stop texting them, police said.
Malone was charged with two counts of harassment. He was released after posting $2,500 bail.
