A Fairfield County man was nabbed on a warrant for a burglary and car theft that took place earlier this month.
Marcus Vereen of Stratford was arrested Tuesday after investigators found him on Burritt Avenue, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
According to Eannotti, the department held an active arrest warrant for Vereen for his connection with a residential burglary and stolen car that occurred on Marcroft Street on Aug. 7.
Vereen attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. He was transported to the Stratford Police Department where he was charged with burglary and two counts of larceny.
He was held on a $30,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31.
