Fairfield County Residents Charged With DWI In NY Weekend Stops

With local and state police agencies cracking down on drunk, drugged and distracted driving, several local residents were among nearly two dozen in the area who found themselves on the wrong side of the law over the weekend.

Local residents charged were:

Westchester County

On July 28, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Segundo Otavalo Figueroa, age 24, of Ossining, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 28, State Police from Stormville arrested Julio Arce, age 40, of Ossining, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 28, State Police from Somers arrested George Brereton, age 27, of Somers, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 6 in Carmel, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 28, State Police from East Fishkill arrested John R. Rya, age 19, of North Salem, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in Southeast, when he was involved in personal injury motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 29, State Police from Brewster arrested Ramiro Torres, age 27, of Mount Kisco, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Southeast, when he was involved in a property damage motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 29, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Christopher E. Frustaglio, age 33, of New Rochelle, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

On July 27, State Police from Stormville arrested Patel S. Nooruddin, age 49, of Pleasant Valley, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

On July 27, State Police from Brewster arrested Carlos Hernandez Avila, age 39, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 29, State Police from Somers arrested Nicholas T. Scott, age 27, of Stamford, CT, for Felony DWI due to two prior convictions. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Bedford, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
