FAIRFIELD, Conn. - A Fairfield man was arrested Tuesday morning after two women complained to police that he was stalking them, police said.

During an investigation, police learned that Peter DeGregorio, 56, had gathered personal information regarding the two women that a casual observer would not know, police said. The information included dates of birth, drivers' license numbers, family members, street information and vehicle and plate information and had been gathered over several months, police said.

Both women work at a TD Bank branch on Black Rock Turnpike that DeGregorio has been banned from. In August, he was charged with breach of peace and harassment , and he later filed two restraining orders against the women.

According to the police report, the restraining orders were issued based on the information he gathered watching the two women and not, as he told the judge who signed the order, because he had been in relationships with them.

Police say DeGregorio told the judge that at some point he had lived with both women. The two victims deny this and told police they were fearful for their safety, police said.

DeGregorio was charged with two counts of second-degree stalking and held on $50,000 bond.
