According to the police report, an employee of the TD Bank North on Black Rock Turnpike was at the Five O Food Store & Deli when she saw Peter DeGregorio, 56, of Fairfield, who had been banned from entering the bank because of his behavior.

He called her several names and swore at her, she told police. As she was leaving the deli, he used his car to block her way out of the deli and swore at her before driving away, police said.

When she called police, she asked that he be arrested.

Officers went to DeGregorio's house, where he was standing on his porch, and recognized him from a previous incident, police said. They told DeGregorio about the charges and that they were issuing a misdemeanor summons, police said.

He denied involvement and told police, "No, take me in. I want to be arrested."

Officers attempted to do so, and DeGregorio pulled away and had to be restrained in order to place the handcuffs on him, police said.

DeGregorio was taken to the station and processed. He was charged with breach of peace and harassment. He was released on a written promise to appear and is due at Bridgeport Superior Court on Aug. 14.
