On Tuesday, Dec. 30, an employee reported to Fairfield police that $2,700 worth of copper buss bars were missing from the tower.

Nine bars were missing from the base and another six were taken from the top of the cell tower, the employee told police.

The employee, under questioning by police, said there were no signs of forced entry, no cut wires in the fence, and the keypad used to gain entry to the tower was locked.

When asked by police, the employee said all employees would know the keypad code.

The burglary is still under investigation, Fairfield police said.
