Danbury resident Ronald Kenneth Scott is facing a host of charges following a lengthy investigation into drug sales in the area, which was launched after police received multiple complaints about illicit activities in the area.
According to police, after receiving the complaints, an investigation into Scott led to the issuance of a search warrant for his car, home, phone and person.
On Thursday, Oct. 11, in an attempt to execute those warrants, investigators began surveillance of Scott’s residence on Irving Place.
While surveilling, police spotted Scott engage in a suspected drug deal with a driver who parked in his driveway, stopped briefly, then left.
Investigators stopped the driver when he was out of the area, and he was found to be in possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana.
While issuing the infraction to the driver, investigators executed a search warrant of Scott’s home, and he was found to be in possession of several ounces of cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Scott was arrested and charged with two counts each of possession of a controlled substance and sale of a controlled substance. He was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Following his arraignment, he is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
