Fairfield To Hold Recount For Seat On Board of Selectmen

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield will hold a recount Nov. 9 in order to determine the winner of the third seat on the Board of Selectman, according to the fairfieldcitizen.com.

Chris Tymniak, a Republican candidate for Selectman in Fairfield, is part of a recount that will take place next week.

The recount will also determine which political party controls the board, added the fairfieldcitizen.com.

A 68-vote margin separates incumbent Democrat Sheila Marmion and Republican Chris Tymniak, with Tymniak leading, reported the fairfieldcitizen.com.

Even though Tymniak lost the first selectman race to incumbent Democrat Michael Tetreau, the next two top finishers are elected to the board, said the fairfieldcitizen.com.
