Fatal Hit, Run Crash: Methuen Police Ask Public For Info In Wreck That Killed Woman
A 62-year-old Methuen woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash over the weekend, and police are asking the public for any information they may have on the incident. A passerby found the woman lying in the roadway just after 8:30 p.m. near 471 Lowell St. on Sunday, April 28. The arriving officer performed life-saving measures along with paramedics who arrived on scene, but doctors pronounced the woman dead when she arrived at Lawrence General Hospital. Thursday, April 25, was a lucky day for one Bay Stater as they won $100,000 in the Massachusetts State Lottery. The "Mass Cash" ticket was sold in Methuen at Howe Street Superette at 163 Howe Street. A 60-year-old Somerville man was arrested and charged with groping two women while performing chiropractic adjustments on them. However, he is not a licensed chiropractor, police said.
